Steve Thompson
Steve Thompson has pursued a trial litigation practice throughout his 32 year legal career. He has specialized in the representation of injured railroad employees under the Federal Employers' Liability Act since 1978. He is experienced in trying other types of personal injury cases, including products liability, medical malpractice, brain injury and wrongful death. In addition, Steve has successfully handled many types of commercial disputes, including fraud, breach of contract, insurance coverage, non-competition agreements and employment matters.
Steve has tried over 50 cases in the state and federal courts of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Arizona. A past secretary and president of the Oregon State Bar Committee on Procedure and Practice, and recipient of the OSB President's Public Service Award, Steve is a present member of the Owen M. Panner American Inn of Court.
Steve attended the University of California at Davis, earned his B.A. with Honors in Economics at the University of Oregon in 1973, and his J.D. from the University Of Oregon School Of Law in 1976.
